FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT RESIDENT PROGRAMS

1. Who is my point of contact (POC)?

For general POCs, see the directory page in the DLIELC Catalog of Material, Courses, and Support. Disciplinary/non-academic POCs in LEOM can be reached at DSN 473-0841 (Comm 210-671-0841); student academic POCs in LEOP can be reached at DSN 473-3342 (Comm 210-671-3342).

2. Where can I get a course description for DLIELC courses?

DLIELC course descriptions are in the Security Assistance Office (SAO) Handbook and are also available from the academic POCs at DLIELC in LEOP at DSN 473-3342 (Comm 210-671-3342).

3. Who grants waiver to the English Comprehension Level (ECL) test, Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and Specialized English Training (SET)?

The MILDEP is the only authority to grant waivers to the ECL, OPI, and SET IAW the training site. DLIELC does not grant waivers.

4. How can I get a copy of my diploma or certificate?

A copy of your diploma or certificate is available through the academic POC at DLIELC in LEOP at DSN 473-3342 (Comm 210-671-3342).

5. What information is available about my follow-on-training (FOT)?

Check the home pages of the Military Departments (MILDEP) on the internet. Also, DLIELC maintains a hard copy of most FOT site information in its library. In addition, FOT course descriptions are also available from the MILDEP training catalogs sent to the Security Assistance Office.
